AI Search Optimisation Consultant: AEO and GEO

Understand how your brand and content appear across selected AI-assisted search experiences. I review discoverability, content clarity and supporting evidence, then turn the findings into practical changes I can implement directly or coordinate with your team, with a repeatable measurement plan.

AI search optimisation is the work of making important business information accessible, clear and well supported across search and answer experiences. The service combines established SEO foundations with a controlled review of selected AI platforms, bringing Answer Engine Optimisation (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) into one practical programme. It does not reduce changing responses to one universal ranking score or promise a citation that no consultant controls.

01

Establish a baseline you can inspect

We agree the customer questions that matter, then record the platform, date, language, market context, exact prompt, observed answer and cited sources. The result is a reproducible sample of visibility and representation, not a one-off screenshot presented as a permanent ranking.

  • Define brand, category, comparison and buying questions around real customer demand
  • Use a consistent question set so later reviews can be compared with the baseline
  • Record mentions, descriptions, cited pages and source domains without combining them into a vague score
  • Separate direct brand questions from broader discovery opportunities
02

Check technical foundations and content accessibility

AI-search platforms use different systems and controls, but they still depend on accessible web content. I inspect what can be verified on the site and document platform-specific restrictions rather than assuming that one crawler, schema type or optimisation applies everywhere.

Crawler and server access

Check robots rules, HTTP responses, CDN or firewall restrictions and whether the relevant public pages can be fetched.

Indexing and snippet controls

Review indexability, canonical URLs and preview controls that may affect eligibility or the information a platform can show.

Rendered content and structured data

Compare visible content, rendered HTML and supported markup so the page describes the business consistently without inventing special AI schema.

SearchScope page checks

Inspect observable SEO, AEO and GEO signals inside Chrome, including rendered content, structured data and AI-crawler access.

A dated AI-visibility diagnostic you can inspect

This review covers the published article How to Audit a Blog Post for AI Visibility. It separates what the page demonstrably contains from improvements worth testing and does not claim that an AI platform cited or ranked the article.

01

Confirmed page foundation

The public page shows an author and publication date, uses a canonical URL and BlogPosting data, and presents a clear ten-point audit method.

02

Content finding

A concise summary near the opening would make the scope and main checks easier for readers and retrieval systems to understand quickly.

03

Evidence finding

Claims about AI-platform behaviour should be tied to current first-party documentation and reviewed when those platforms change their guidance.

04

Recommended action

Add a short summary, strengthen primary-source attribution, retain visible authorship and dates, then repeat the same recorded review after release.

04

Improve the pages buyers and search systems rely on

The content review focuses on the pages that explain what the business offers and why its information is credible. I identify unclear service descriptions, unsupported claims, unanswered buying questions and inconsistent facts, then improve the sections that matter to customers as well as retrieval systems.

  • Clarify the entity, service, product and audience described on each priority page
  • Answer important questions in self-contained passages with the necessary context
  • Support material claims with current evidence and clear source attribution
  • Connect related pages through descriptive internal links and a coherent information structure
05

Turn observations into an implementation plan

Each finding is labelled as a confirmed page issue, a platform observation or a hypothesis that needs testing. I translate the agreed priorities into page edits, content briefs, technical requirements and measurement tasks, then implement the changes directly where access and scope allow.

  • Rank work by customer value, evidence strength, expected reach and implementation effort
  • Assign owners and dependencies for content, development, analytics and external profiles
  • Implement approved copy, internal links, metadata, structured data and CMS changes when appropriate
  • Validate the released pages and record what changed before repeating the baseline
06

Measure progress with appropriate limits

AI-generated answers can change between platforms, dates and users. Reporting therefore combines repeated observations with any platform-reported citation or visibility data that is available, identifiable referral visits and qualified enquiries. No single observation is presented as proof of a permanent position or a commercial outcome.

  • Repeat the same question set on a documented schedule
  • Track cited pages and sources separately from unlinked brand mentions
  • Review identifiable AI-search referrals and on-site conversion quality where data is available
  • Report normal organic performance alongside AI-search observations without combining unlike metrics
07

Choose the level of AI-search support you need

The engagement can start with a focused baseline or continue through implementation and recurring reviews. We confirm the platforms, question set, page scope, access and responsibilities before work begins so the service matches the evidence and resources available.

AI SEO Consultant FAQs

How do AEO and GEO relate to SEO?

AEO and GEO are labels for improving how information is understood and surfaced in answer engines and generative search experiences. The work still depends on accessible pages, clear content, reliable evidence and established SEO foundations, with additional platform-specific observation and measurement.

Is special AI schema required?

No universal AI schema is required. Google states that its AI search features do not need special markup or additional technical requirements beyond normal Search eligibility. I use supported structured data only when it accurately represents visible page content and review other platforms against their own published controls.

Can you guarantee a mention or citation in ChatGPT, Google AI features or another platform?

No. Each platform controls its answers, sources and presentation, and those outputs can change. I can improve verifiable access, clarity, evidence and measurement, then record what is observed without promising a specific mention, citation or placement.

How do you measure AI-search visibility?

I use a dated set of relevant questions and record observed answers, brand descriptions, cited sources and pages. Where available, I add platform-reported data, identifiable referral visits and qualified conversions, keeping those measures separate so the report does not create a misleading combined score.

Can you implement the recommendations?

Yes. Where access and scope allow, I can implement agreed content, internal-linking, metadata, structured-data, CMS and measurement changes directly. I can also prepare developer requirements, coordinate delivery and validate the released pages.

Is this the same as using AI to write SEO content?

No. This service reviews how a business and its information can be discovered and represented across AI-assisted search. AI-supported content production is a separate workflow and does not replace subject expertise, editorial review, source checking or normal SEO quality standards.
